Roxy Fleming is a traveler, adventurer, and writer from Dublin, Ireland who has spent the last 18 years exploring the world and building a life on the road. What began as a thirst for travel after finishing school soon became a lifelong journey shaped by curiosity, connection, and a desire to experience the world beyond the tourist trail.

Over the years, Roxy has worked across Europe as a water sports instructor, taught English throughout Asia, hitchhiked coast to coast across Canada, and camped alone in the Alaskan wilderness. Along the way, she volunteered in many of the countries she visited, spending her time meeting locals, learning from different cultures, and discovering how much language shapes the travel experience.

In 2017, she began writing what would eventually become TravelWithConfidence.World - originally a handwritten collection of useful phrases created to help herself communicate while traveling. With the help of people she met around the world, the project steadily grew into a unique phrasebook featuring translations in 114 languages.

As a first-time author still living a nomadic lifestyle, Roxy hopes this book inspires travelers to feel more confident stepping into unfamiliar places, connecting with local communities, and creating richer, more meaningful adventures wherever they go.
